Collagen stimulators
Collagen stimulators are injectables that prompt the skin to build its own collagen. The result builds gradually over the following months, for lift and firmness that look like your own.
- Treatment time
- 30 to 60 minutes
- Downtime
- A few days, if any
- Result
- Builds over 2 to 3 months
- Lasts
- Often over a year
What it treats
With age the skin makes less collagen, and it loses firmness. A collagen stimulator restarts some of that work, so the change comes slowly and from the skin itself.
Firmness
Skin that has lost firmness on the face and neck.
Contours
Cheeks, temples, jawline and chin.
Buttocks
Shape and volume, with buttock filler.
For volume you can see straight away, see dermal fillers.
What we use
We plan the product with you at the consultation, by area and by how quickly you want to see the change.

- Some lift straight away, and collagen over the following months
- Collagen stimulator injections

A numbing cream or local anaesthetic, then injections into the deeper layers of the skin.

Some swelling or bruising for a few days. The change then builds over the following weeks.
Questions
Collagen stimulator or filler?
A filler adds volume you see on the day. A collagen stimulator works more slowly, through the skin's own collagen, and the result tends to last longer.
How many sessions will I need?
One to three, a month or more apart, depending on the product and the area.
Who should not have it?
Not during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an infection in the area, with an allergy to the product, or if you tend to form raised scars.
