Skin boosters
Skin boosters put hydration and nutrients into the skin itself, with tiny injections or with microneedling. They soften fine lines and improve glow and texture, without adding volume.

What it treats
Skin boosters work within the skin rather than under it, so the face keeps its shape while the skin looks more hydrated and even. They are used on the face, the neck and the hands.
Fine lines
Fine, crepey lines, for example around the eyes and mouth.
Dull, dry skin
Skin that looks dry or tired, or has lost its glow.
Texture
Uneven texture and enlarged pores.
For lost volume, or to shape the lips, cheeks or jawline, see dermal fillers.

Microneedling
Microneedling makes tiny, controlled channels in the skin with a fine-needle pen. The skin responds by renewing itself, and the channels let a skin booster serum reach deeper than it would from the surface.
How it feels
A numbing cream first, then a light, scratchy vibration.
After
Redness like a mild sunburn, for a day or two.
Course
Often 3 sessions, about a month apart.
Microneedling can also be done with plasma from your own blood: see PRP and PRF.
Your visit
Consultation
Free. We look at your skin and choose the booster and the number of sessions with you.
Treatment
A numbing cream, then tiny injections across the area, or microneedling with a serum.
After
Small bumps or redness settle within a day or two. Skip makeup and hard exercise for the rest of the day.
Questions
Skin booster or filler?
Fillers add volume and shape under the skin. Skin boosters spread a thin layer of hydration within the skin, so they change its quality rather than its shape.
How many sessions will I need?
Usually three, a few weeks apart, then one every six months or so to keep the result.
Who should not have it?
Not during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an infection, cold sore or active acne in the area, or with an allergy to the product.
